But it's so much cooler that way! (Cooler temperature-wise, not fashion-wise, not that I would know since I don't have enough hair to put into a ponytail now, but I used to do the Pebbles-type ponytail to keep my hair out of my eyes in yoga class because my hair wasn't long enough for a regular ponytail, and geez, talk about a run-on sentence, lol)
